Testicular Health
You are the highest group at risk of getting Testicular Cancer. It is important for you to become familiar with the normal size and shape of your testicles so you are alert to anything that may feel abnormal in the future.
Some things to know:
- The first sign of testicular cancer is commonly a little (pea-sized) lump on the testis.
- Other signs include enlargement of a testicle, a dull ache in the groin, lower stomach or scrotum.
- Cycling (or other similar sports) does not lead to testicular cancer.
- One testicle is generally larger than the other—this is normal.
- Lumps or swelling may not be cancer; however, if you feel anything odd or abnormal, you should contact your doctor. If caught early, testicular cancer is most often curable.
